About Florian

We are Sophie Timmer and Rik de Zwaan of Stal Groene Velden in Lelystad, and proud ambassadors of Florian Horsefoods for about 3 years now. We have specialized in the portuguese Lusitano’s and also started 2 years ago with the cross-breeding pilot of the KWPN; combining the two breeds to create fine sport horses for amateur riders. In our stable we have 3 approved stallions, all 3 are released in the regular dressage sport at Subtop Level, ZZZwaar and PSG.

Two of the stallions are also running at the Master level of Working Equitation, internationally, and have therefore been selected for the European Championships this year. We are huge fans of High Impact; all stallions get 1 scoop of this per feed, supplemented with a few hands of Basic Growth. After riding, we feed the Slow Fit muesli. Because the feed is so complete, we never feed any supplements, they simply don’t need anything extra! The horses shine; they look fantastic. They are well-muscled, the mane and tail are nicely full and the hooves are tremendously strong. Health ultimately comes from within, and we are truly convinced that this is because of Florian.

I have a 7-year-old dressage horse. I bought this one a year ago. On the lean side, but especially lots of skin complaints. (Little bumps all over his skin) I’ve had several vets there and we’ve tried all kinds of things. Only nothing really worked. Then Bart came to my home and said this could be remedied with the right food. I started feeding Florian and soon the bumps lessened and the horse began to feel better. Now, 5 months on, I have a completely different horse and with no skin problems! I never believed in it that much, but the right food works wonders!

We started feeding Florian Horsefood since February 2019, and the difference since then has been undeniable and very satisfying. Most horses were immediately excited by the change, while for some it took some time to get used to it.

We currently have 8 dressage horses in training, each with their own unique needs. These range from just saddled 3-year-olds, experienced competition horses aged 11 to 13, to a 20-year-old retired Grand Prix champion. Thanks to Florian, we can fine-tune the nutrition of all our horses to their specific requirements, regardless of their age or level.

Younger horses get the support they need for healthy growth and development, while our competition horses benefit from nutrition that helps them perform at top level. Even our retired GP star still shines, thanks to a ration focused on well-being and vitality. Florian Horsefood gives us the flexibility to give each horse exactly what they need, and we see that reflected in their health, energy and performance.

I have been feeding Florian Horsefood for a few months now and notice a huge difference in my horses’ behavior, coat, condition and muscle mass and they lick the feeders cleaner than ever. I have 3 fantastic horses at home and they are Inita, Charmain PH Z and Angela. I ride Inita at the international level of eventing and Charmain and Angela I am training for the higher work. I would like to use Florian Horsefood to get my horses ready for the European Championship level. I have been included in the A cadre of eventing juniors since October 2021 and would like to compete for my spot on Team NL. We also establish ourselves at home as a Florian sales outlet and would love to help make your horses as healthy, happy and athletic as ours!

Since early 2022, I may be a proud ambassador for Florian Horsefood. Founder Steven told me about their innovative and unique feed concept in which they want to contribute to the improvement of horse welfare. This is also a high priority for me and I was immediately curious. What appeals to me is that everything is focused on natural products and a healthy digestive system. It starts with a good base, supplemented by products as needed for each horse. This keeps my horses in top condition!

I am Isabelle vroomans, 35 years old and live in Heeze. I have been infected with the horse virus for over 31 years. I currently run my own company Isabelle Equestrian Academy, in this company I train mostly Friesian horses and I teach a lot. I have been feeding Florian’s feed for over a year now, in fact I have tried quite a bit of the range because I always have many different horses. Hummer, my best horse at the moment I feed 2kg High impact, 500gr basic growth, 300gr slow fit and my favo products: the supplements InnerG from Duval and in the summer months Reflorish. As you can see from him he is doing super well on Florian’s feed!

Since we switched to Florian, I have noticed that my stallion Frami’s negative energy has been transformed into positive energy. At competitions he always knew how to play tricks and what to do with himself.

That has completely changed, since we have been feeding Florian, from stress to into workable energy. I started the Icelandic Impact, the Basic Growth and the Slow Fit in September 2023. After a while I noticed that he needed a little more pep towards the competition season. We then switched to the High Impact with the Basic Growth and the Slow Fit.

And now in winter training he is just back on the Icelandic Impact. My other horse Leiknir was always much too fat. And since we switched to Icelandic Impact, with Slow Fit and Basic Pure, he still has a belly, but his weight has improved a lot.

My name is Esmé, 28 years young and living in Raalte.
I own 2 beautiful mares named Tis’nViola (Caesar ter Linden X Bontfire) and Need to Know (Diego X Voice). Tizzie I bought as a foal and is allowed to grow up with me. Something I really like to see, because both in height and behavior she is growing tremendously.
In addition to Tizzie, I have another mare Nola. I purchased her in April 2024 and together we are discovering the world. When I just had her, she had never been off the field and only knew working in hand and was saddled and lightly ridden. In the meantime we have expanded her world a bit; she has been to dressage competition with me, swimming, jumping lessons, cross country lessons, and we have been to the beach.
I thoroughly enjoy being involved with both horses and I share all the adventures I go through on my social media channels: Life as Esmé.

Since 2020 we have switched to Florian Horsefood and with great results. Both in the growth of my two young lusitano’s, who have developed super on Basic Growth and Vimi and for my KWPN’er. The latter is a difficult eater but on the High impact primal pellets and Basic Growth we were able to ride two successful European Championships working Equitation in recent years. I especially notice that he is more relaxed all over his body, less stress sensitive and happier! Now it is the Lusi’s turn to enter the competition ring and especially Poejo de Portugal has become a huge stud. Now that the breaking-in period is over and we can train more we switched to the Oerbrok Friesian Impact in combination with the Basis Pure and he is doing very well on it. More power and muscle but not ‘too much energy’. We are curious what the future will bring us and how we can keep up with the developments in feed management.

My name is Lorie and I am a proud ambassador of Florian Horsefood. Together with my husband Mark I live in Melderslo, Limburg, where we take care of our two beautiful Haflingers, Sinem and Nova.

Sinem, our 10-year-old gelding, is performing great in Z2 dressage, 1m jumping and B eventing. Nova, a 5-year-old mare, is doing extremely well in L2 dressage and is also making strides in jumping and eventing.

Thanks to Florian’s products, such as Basic Impact, Easy Impact and Vimi-Plus, our horses are in top condition. They recover faster after heavy training, build muscle and stay nicely balanced without becoming overexcited. Our feed management, with balanced roughage and an optimized feeding schedule, delivers visible results. I am proud to represent this quality!

I am Lisa Claessens, 13 years old, and proud ambassador of Florian Horsefood. Since April we live in Meijel, where our ponies are at home. With Icoon I ride Z2 dressage, Chabalito B in Z1 (8th at the Hippiade!), and Job I am training. Starting internationally with Icoon is our next goal.

In addition to my competition ponies, we have Schermeer’s Hof Tiger Lily and three 2.5-year-old stallions that we train ourselves. These ponies have been fed Florian feed since foal, such as Easy Impact, Vimi Plus and Basic Growth. Their development is impressive – they radiate strength and vitality.

My competition ponies receive balanced nutrition tailored to their specific needs. With Chabalito, we steer for rest through High Impact and Slow Fit, while Icon gets extra energy with Power Fit. Each meal is supplemented with Basic Growth or Fibre Grass for optimal digestion.

My name is Emma van der Veer. As an avid Icelander rider, I can be found on both the judging and competition track. For me it is important to positively influence as many factors that contribute to a performance as possible. Support with the right concentrate feed is an important example of this. Thanks to Florian Horsefood’s personal feeding advice, I can get back to doing what I love most: spending time with my horses.

Besides the standard feed (Icelandic, High Impact, Slow Fit and Power Fit), my favorite is definitely the Florian Firstcare Xtra (aka cup a soup). The horses love it and it can also be fed directly as a slobber. Ideal for competitions and as an extra fluid supply.

My name is Ellen Hansen. I was born in the United States, where I grew up riding hunters. Now I have the privilege of running my own business in the Netherlands, combining my passion for hunters and equitation with my love for show jumping. I have both horses and ponies. Because of this diversity of horses and disciplines, I have to feed each animal according to its specific needs. Florian makes this possible.

I primarily use Basic Growth, Fiber Impact and Slow Fit. This combination is ideal for my hunters: it supports healthy weight gain and a shiny coat without making the horses too fresh or awkward in the American riding style. For my jumpers or horses that need to build muscle mass, I use Power Fit. MultiBeet Xtra is perfect for horses that come in too thin or have a sensitive stomach. One of my favorite horses right now is Nupona’s Hermès, a six-year-old mare. She is incredibly bossy toward other horses, but loves people. Mares always win my heart because once you build a bond with them, they will do anything for you. Hermès is no exception. It has been an amazing journey getting to know each other and forming a pair. I trained her myself and enjoy every milestone moment.

Feline always strives for the best for her horses, both in terms of performance and well-being. Stephanie is extremely proud to be an official ambassador of Florian Horsefood! With her Spanish horse Chaman and her Friesian horse Kafke, she has spent the past 8 months experiencing what good nutrition can do.

Chaman is sensitive to sugars and blows up quickly from grass or wet hay, but with the right diet he thrives. He gets Fiber Impact, Basic Growth, Slow Fit and FirstCareXtra, a balanced ration that supports him in his muscling, digestion and recovery after workouts – all with small amounts of feed.

Kim Bouwman is a proud ambassador of Florian Horsefood and has experienced firsthand what a difference the right nutrition can make. Her horse Kojack was previously somewhat bloated, less beautiful in his coat and often had less energy after the third day of a competition.
