Sand Away

Duval Sand Away is specially designed to remove sand from the horse’s intestines.

The largest active ingredient in Sand Away is psyllium seed. Psyllium has the ability to bind a lot of water and contains high levels of mucilage. With this, it stimulates intestinal movements, allowing sand to be better disposed of. In addition to psyllium seed, chia seed, lithothamnium, lupin, anise and clay have also been added. All of this is compressed into a palatable pellet. As a result, the psyllium seeds take effect only after passing through the stomach, thus exerting the most optimal action in the intestines to carry the sand from the intestines out.
