A good immune system starts in the gut

The immune system

Strong immunity is important for your horse.
The immune system is a protection against harmful external influences such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites.
The immune system is invisible but an army of different white blood cells, each with its own function, is constantly on standby to defend the body.

The gut, a shield against pathogens

The gut is the body’s largest immune organ.
80% of all immunological cells that detect harmful external pathogens are located in the intestines.

There are billions of bacteria active in the intestines.
We call these bacteria the gut flora.
The intestinal flora plays a crucial role in the regulation of the immune system.
Offering sufficient roughage and especially the greatest possible variety of fiber-rich structures has a positive influence on the intestinal flora.

So for a well-functioning immune system, a healthy intestinal flora is indispensable.
A horse with a good resistance is less prone to all kinds of infections and will also recover faster if he does get sick.

Florian has developed products that contain a variety of fibers.
